Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport, with IATA Code: RTB, ICAO: MHRO is an airport located on the western side of Roatan, next to the main city, Coxen Hole. It serves national and international air traffic of the island, the airport is named for Juan Manuel Gálvez the former president of Honduras. It is also known as Roatán International Airport.

Roadways
The islands of Roatan meets the demands in this sense. Even though, it could be said that it does not possess and efficient road network and results in difficult mobility. From the Roatan International Airport and the Cruise Ships Ports, there is a road that leads to West End. This road passes through many settlements and great coconut palm trees areas by the sea shore. Also there is a road that goes towards the Municipality of Santos Guardiola up to the Port Royal Zone and branches off to different communities. In 1964, there were only two cars existing on the islands, whose owners were Rolland Jones and Policarpo Galindo Jr. Actually, there are Public transportation (taxis and buses), private and rental cars.
